KN95 Respirator Face Mask
The KN95 respirator mask (GB-2626-2006) is rated for at least 95% filtration. It protects the wearer from small airborne particles.
In April of 2020, in order to help expand the availability of general use face masks for the general public and healthcare professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic, the FDA issued guidance authorizing the use of KN95 masks as suitable alternatives under certain emergency circumstances when N95 respirators are not available.
People with chronic respiratory, cardiac, or other medical conditions that make breathing difficult should check with their health care provider before using a KN95 respirator because the KN95 respirator can make it more difficult for the wearer to breathe. Respirator masks are not intended to be used more than once. If your respirator is damaged or soiled, or if breathing becomes difficult, you should remove the respirator, discard it properly, and replace it with a new one. To safely discard your KN95 respirator, place it in a plastic bag and put it in the trash. Wash your hands after handling the used respirator.
The ergonomic design, elastic band and adjustable nose clip of the KN95 mask accommodate a variety of face shapes and sizes. Please be advised that KN95 masks are not designed for children or people with facial hair. Because a proper fit cannot be achieved on children and people with facial hair, the KN95 mask may not provide full protection. However, even a properly fitted KN95 respirator does not completely eliminate the risk of illness or death.
